SIEMENS PLC PROGRAMMING SKILLS(16-18 March, 2021)

KERSL Automation organized a series of one-day workshops from 16th – 18th March as part its ONE-DAY AUTOMATION WORKSHOP series.

These workshops were focused on improving PLC programming skills of technicians and engineers. Because of the wide range of programming skills among potential participants, the workshop was divided into three, one-day workshops so that applicants could select their preferred workshop(s).

The TIA portal software and the S7-1200 PLC hardware were used in all the workshops. Workshop programme highlights included the following:

WORKSHOP 1 – BASIC SIEMENS STEP 7 PROGRAMMING SKILLS (DATE: 16/MAR/2021)
o TIA Portal Environment; Step 7-1200 hardware; Sinking and Sourcing Concepts; NO and NC Contacts; Wiring inputs and outputs; Basic Bit Logic Operations; Practical Programming Examples and Project.

WORKSHOP 2 – INTERMMEDIATE PLC PROGRAMMING SKILLS
(DATE: 17/MAR/2021)
o Timers, Counters and Comparator Functions; Basic HMI programming; Practical Programming Examples and Project.

WORKSHOP 3 – ADVANCED PROGRAMMING SKILLS
(DATE: 18/MAR/2021)
o Practical Industrial and Process Control Tasks; Design Project.
